License Key Entry

Your License Key will comprise a Name and Registration Key and will look something like this:

Regname: Shermer High School
Regcode: 0123-4567-89AB-CDEF

Use this to register DreamCalc by clicking Help->Enter License Key from main menu. You will be prompted with the key entry window (see right). Copy and paste your license Name and Key strings into the corresponding boxes and click OK.

Once DreamCalc accepts your License Key, all reminder messages will be disabled permanently and all restrictions unlocked. Your software will now be registered.

Frequently Asked Questions & Issues

I've lost my license key.

If you have previously purchased DreamCalc, but have lost your license key, contact RegNow Order Support. Or if you ordered through Share*It!, visit the Share*It! Customer Care Center.


I've ordered but haven't received my license key.

It may take up to 24 hours for you to receive your license key. If you have not received it after this time, contact: RegNow Order Support.

IMPORTANT: Your license key email will be sent by an automated payment server. If your email address is linked to a service which challenges the sender to register with that service before allowing the email to be delivered, then this may be the reason why you have not received your key. In this case, contact RegNow Order Support for your key details.


My license key doesn't work.

Am I entitled to free updates?

Updates are normally provided to existing customers without charge. However, the right is reserved to charge in the future for software which is considered to be entirely new, or where technical restrictions may prevent license key migration.


I originally bought DreamCalc 3. Can I upgrade to DreamCalc 4?

Yes. The update is free. Simply download DreamCalc 4. It will accept your existing license key.


Can I order DreamCalc on CD?

Yes. There is an additional charge for delivery, but it is optional.


My screen only has 800x600 resolution.

But the requirements state I need 1024x768. Can I still run DreamCalc?

Yes, but rendering will be sub-optimal. DreamCalc will be forced to resize the main window small enough to fit your screen height, and some fonts will look poor. Most computers can display to a resolution of 1024x768 or better. If you can increase your resolution, simply do so. Typically, you can right-click on your desktop background and select "Properties".

If you are running with low screen resolution because it helps you to read characters, then there's a much better alternative. Increase your screen resolution to 1024x768 or higher, and increase your DPI setting to 120 or 144 DPI, or whatever suits. This will give you increased resolution with larger fonts. If you really must run DreamCalc with 800x600 resolution, it is suggested that you select a DreamCalc "Slimline Skin" as the main window will has a smaller height with these skins.


DreamCalc has stopped working.

DreamCalc reports that it has been damaged and won't run.

If you see this, then your installation of DreamCalc has been corrupted. There are two common causes: 1. your disk has developed a fault, or 2. the DreamCalc application has been damaged by a virus. Please note that Big Angry Dog Ltd is not responsible for your computer maintenance, however, the following suggestions are provided for your information.

If you believe you may have a disk fault, run scan disk from Windows Explorer with the "Automatically Fix Errors" option checked. If you believe you may have a virus, you must first remove it by either installing or updating your anti-virus software. In both cases, you must re-install DreamCalc once the underlying issue has been resolved.


Can I run DreamCalc on Windows 98/ME?

No. Support for Windows 9.x derivatives ceased with DreamCalc 4.


How do I uninstall DreamCalc?

You can uninstall DreamCalc from the "Add/Remove Programs" section of the Windows Control Panel.


What's happened to DreamCalc "Standard Edition"?

With version 3.4.0, the DreamCalc "Standard Edition" was renamed the "Graphing Edition". Only the name has changed, and Standard Edition users should simply update to the Graphing Edition.

Yes, please do send an email to the above address if you find a bug in DreamCalc. These are fixed as soon as possible. If you are not using the latest DreamCalc release, check the version history to see whether your bug has already been fixed.
